D. Stephenson Construction provided Design/Build build services to the School District of Palm Beach County for the construction of the Boca Raton High School Swimming Pool. The scope included 25 yard by 50 m USAS certifi ed competitive swimming pool with dive well, a 3 meter and two 1 meter diving boards. Pool facility support building includes male and female changing/restrooms, pool equipment, storage/pool offi ce, custodial and electrical rooms. Site utilities and services including electric, domestic water, sewer, site drainage, under-pool dewatering, intercom, fi re alarm/smoke detection, lightning protection, ITV and dedicated emergency phone were provided, as well as provisions for intrusion detection, video surveillance, access control and public address/communications systems. Accoutrements include bleachers and 8’ estate style aluminum fence in addition to top of the line lightning prediction, sports lighting, geothermal pool heating/cooling and touch pad timing/scoreboard systems. Our team provided over $350,000 in value engineering savings on the project , while providing additional chlorine delivery infrastructure (truck lane, underground double piping system with remote point of connection), an air-conditioned offi ce area and emergency power system to the work scope.
